Masjid al-Qur'an, Milwaukee, is a proud new affiliate of Madina Institute, a private, non-profit institution founded by Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Al-Husayni An-Ninowy, which has locations spanning North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Our focus is making the traditional Islamic Sciences accessible to the next generation of American Muslim scholars on U.S. soil, and calling Muslims to go back to the basics of the religion: the Qur’an and the Authentic Sunnah, as well as tolerance, peace, and compassion. Madina Institute seeks to be a place where your spiritual journey will flourish, and to help you go deeper into your faith, to serve humanity.
What makes Madina Institute different?
In the Information Age – bombarded with images, videos, snippets and sound bytes – how do we filter the beneficial from what is confusing or conflicting? Where do we find substance, depth, reliability and clarity? Snippets & sound bytes are not enough to sustain one’s Deen. So where can we go when we feel that ‘thirst’ for something more?
Our methodology is to follow Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamā’ah in Arabic studies, Uṣῡl (Legal Theory), Ḥadīth Sciences and Iḥsān (Tazkiyah/Spiritual Purification). We believe in total prioritization of the Divine Texts (Qur’ān and Authentic Sunnah) over any and everything, then Ijmā’ and Qiyās. The Qur’ān and Sunnah are revealed by Allah, and no other entity can be as unconditionally loving, forgiving, compassionate, and inclusive.
